Derbyshire Peak District is easily accessible for an energetic hike, gentle ramble or leisurely drive in beautiful countryside.
There are many historic house nearby such as Kedleston Hall (Film location for The Duchess, Jane Eyre and Women in Love), Calke Abbey and Chatsworth House (Pride & Prejudice, Jane Eyre and The Duchess were all filmed here).
Derby is home to Englands first public park, Derby Arboretum. New Yorks Central Park was modelled on this park.
For excitement Donington Race Circuit is a 20 minute drive, or have fun at the Alton Towers Theme Park.
We are ideally situated for visiting Royal Crown Derby and Denby potteries.
For visitors interested in literary greats the homes of Lord Byron, D H Lawrence and Dr Johnson are all a short drive away.
